Bibliology

Bibliology is defined as the Greek term for the doctrine of the Bible. Let’s define one Bibliology fact because this is why this webpage is here to clarify misconceptions.

The Bible says in order for a person to become a Christian: 1) They must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The key word here is believeth, to commit to trust in the Lord. 2) A person must also acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9) Again we see the word believe which reinforces the acknowledgment of Christ. 3) Repentance is the third step, and repentance means to think differently and to give up your old ways for new ones. “Then Peter said unto them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:28). When a person goes through these three steps (Belief, Acknowledgment, and Repentance) he is a Christian. Baptism is the fourth step. Baptism by water is an outward sign of obedience, showing fellow brothers and sisters in Christ that your old ways have been given up for a new life in Christ Jesus. “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” (Mark 16:16) Here, again, the word believe is mentioned, which is a vital key in becoming saved. Once these steps are in place you are definitely on the right path!
